Hey, I’m Gilbert!
I’m from the Seattle area, and I’m currently studying Computer Science at The George Washington University, in Washington D.C.
I’ve been producing electronic music since 2015. My music is inspired by artists like Flume, Porter Robinson, and ODESZA. I have extensive experience with Mixing and Mastering, and additional experience in video game sound design, Foley, vocal processing, studio recording, and orchestral composition. I primarily use Ableton Live, but I’m also well-versed in Logic Pro and Reaper.
When I work on music and audio, I focus a lot on sound design, mainly through synthesizers, effects, and audio slicing and sampling. I love the creative freedom sound design brings, so I incorporate it as much as I can into the work I do.
Some of my favorite VSTs right now are Little Plate and Decapitator from Soundtoys, Ableton’s Operator and Wavetable synths, Spitfire Audio’s BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the Una Corda piano from Native Instruments. I also own a Prophet Rev2 and an Arturia Microfreak, which I enjoy using for fuller organic sounds.
